The Legacy of Joseph Grippi Sr. (1924 – 2001)

Gaining prominence in the latter half of the 20th Century, picture frame maker, art director and accomplished artist Joseph Grippi leaves a legacy for generations to come.

His Gallery located at 344 East 59th street was home for many of the now renowned artists of the day.  Many of the art works were developed and completed at the gallery including famed serigraphs by Andy Warhol, Paul Jenkins, Louise Nevelson and Joseph Grippi’s as well. To complement the work, frames were designed in styles ranging from driftwood to metallic adding a unique character to each work of art.
